FEATURED PROJECTS
ARENA STAGE, D.C.
The Arena Stage project is a complex renovation and expansion of a historic D.C. landmark. The project scope entails the complete renovation of two theaters, construction of a new third theater and over 150,000 sf of support space. The three theaters are enclosed in a custom wood/glass cable supported curtainwall system and free span roof (spans of 180’ clear) with a 140’ cantilevered element spanning over an elevated terrace.
KCM was retained by SJG Properties to evaluate alternatives and manage the renovation and rehabilitation of an 185,000 sf historic structure. Built in 1910 as an office building with no parking, the building had been operating for 90 years and was in a serious state of disrepair. The exterior of the building and the interior lobbies were designated historic by HPRB. This required careful planning and attention to construction techniques, salvage, restoration techniques and bidding requirements to ensure that the historic fabric of the building was restored and maintained.

LOUDOUN COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL,

The Loudoun Country Day School project is a new private school campus located in Leesburg, Virginia on almost 70 acres. The project consists of a new 70,000 sf academic building, a separate 10,000 sf gymnasium, playing fields, tennis and basketball courts, and extensive site improvements.
